Leave the age stereotype out
Fifty is a number, not a description of someone’s energy, health, or ambitions. A card can recognize the milestone without making assumptions about how the person feels about it.
If you have known them a long time, choose a memory that still says something about them now. The person who organized your first group trip may still be the one who gets everyone together. Mention the connection rather than simply announcing how many years have passed.
For a group card, make the message broad enough for the signers to stand behind. Let each person add their own detail in a separate note if they want to.
Messages you can adapt
Make the wording sound like you
Write one sentence the recipient could not receive from a stranger. It may be a familiar meal, a shared place, or the reason friends rely on them. Keep a compliment anchored to something they actually do.
Put it on a HoorayTime card
In HoorayTime, choose Birthday and an available style that fits their tastes. The age is optional except in portrait styles built around the number. Enter 50 if the person wants it shown; otherwise, avoid those styles and choose an illustrated card. Add their name and your greeting. For a portrait, use a photo they agree to have used for generation. New artwork requires Pro, an available spark and internet access.
Inspect the likeness and any age numerals in the generated image. You can change the editable wording, font, color and placement before exporting. Hiding editable text does not remove numerals embedded in the artwork. Save the result to Photos or share it yourself through your device’s share menu. HoorayTime does not send the card automatically.
Before you send it
Do not assume a generated portrait preserves every facial detail exactly. Review it yourself and do not share it if it feels unsuitable. If you choose to generate another image, you will need another available spark.
