Keep the welcome generous and specific

A baby shower card can be cheerful without predicting how birth or parenting will go. Focus on the gathering, your affection for the family, or an offer you can follow through on.

Use the names and terms the parents have shared. If you do not know a baby name, there is no need to invent one. If the family has not announced a gender, neutral wording is straightforward and warm.

A joke may be read out loud at the shower. Before including it, ask whether it depends on embarrassment, medical details, or an assumption about who will do the work. If it does, choose a kinder line.

Messages you can adapt

  • So glad to celebrate this next part of your family’s story with you.
  • Wishing you a welcoming home, good support, and small moments you will want to remember.
  • I am looking forward to meeting this little person when you are ready for visitors.
  • A small gift, a lot of affection, and an offer to bring dinner after the busy weeks begin.
  • It is lovely to see so many people here who care about your family.
  • I hope today gives you time to enjoy being celebrated.

Make the wording sound like you

If you offer help, make it concrete: a meal, an errand, or a visit at a time the parents choose. Do not promise that parenting will be easy or that they will love every minute. Warmth does not need certainty.

Put it on a HoorayTime card

Choose Baby & family in HoorayTime and select Baby shower as the moment. Enter the family name the parents have shared if it suits the card better than a baby name. Choose an available illustrated style to make the card without a reference photo. Add your own greeting. New artwork requires Pro, an available spark and internet access.

Review the spelling and tone. Leave private details out and use editable wording for anything you may want to change. Adjust the text, font, color and placement. Hiding editable text does not remove lettering embedded in generated artwork. Export the image, save it to Photos or share it yourself through your device’s share menu. HoorayTime does not send the card automatically.

Before you send it

Check the names and avoid sharing private pregnancy information or dates the family has not announced. The card is a digital image you send yourself. HoorayTime does not manage invitations or print and deliver cards.
