Start with what he actually does
A dad who fixes things, sends terrible jokes, or quietly checks that you got home gives you plenty to write about. Choose one behavior and tell him you noticed. A specific thank-you reads more naturally than a list of big compliments.
You can be affectionate without changing your usual voice. If your conversations are mostly jokes and practical advice, a short line with one sincere sentence may feel right. If you talk openly about feelings, make room for that.
Avoid treating every father as the same person. Not every dad likes sports, grilling, cars, or being teased about age. Start with your dad's interests rather than a stock image of fatherhood.
Messages you can adapt
Make the wording sound like you
Mention a shared activity by name: the Sunday walk, the chess game, the match you watched together. If a joke needs explaining, leave it out of the card and keep the sentence he will understand immediately.
Put it on a HoorayTime card
Choose Birthday in HoorayTime, add his name, and select a style that matches the mood of the message. A playful greeting can work with a bright design; a quieter thank-you may suit something simpler. Add a portrait only when the selected style requires one, then review and edit the wording before exporting.
New artwork generation needs Pro, an available spark, and internet access. Export the finished image and share it yourself; the app does not send the card automatically.
Before you send it
Read the card once in your normal speaking voice. Remove any phrase you would never say to him. Check that the message fits the image without covering his face or the main artwork.
